Shirley V. Sohmer

Shirley has been in financial services for over 24 years. She is from a small town along Lake Ontario in Upstate New York. Ask her about Sea Breeze on Irondequoit Bay, Zweigle’s hot dogs, Abbott’s Frozen Custard, Beef on Weck, lilacs, and Ridge Road.

Shirley lived many years in metro Denver, Colorado. Ask her about Anthony’s Pizza, the Tech Center, Ken Caryl, how not to outrun a tornado, and Kenosha Pass. But do not ask her about I-25 traffic-she doesn’t ever want to think about that again!

Wanting to be closer to her family in North Carolina and New York State, Shirley moved a few years ago to Charlotte, and then to the Triad. She played the French Horn for twelve years, likes to grow flowers, is an avid baker, and her family’s genealogical researcher.
